apa yang best sangat telescope James Webb Space yang dijangka dilancarkan di orbit pada 2014/15 berbanding hubble telescope? telescope ini akan mencerap infrared… ni macam kita dalam kegelapan malam mendapat “night vision goggle”… heher, insyaallah akan lebih banyak objek dapat dilihat… biar gambar berikut menunjukkannya:

Dulu aku tertanya-tanya ada atau tidak galaxy yang berbentuk sphere macam bola sebab selalu kita dengar adalah berbentuk ellipsoid lonjong dan lagi satu spiral galaxy yang selalunya berbentuk disc yang leper… sebenarnya ada iaitu yang diklasifikasikan sebagai E0 galaxy.. Berdasarkan hubble classification, elliptical galaxy ditulis/ diklasifikasikan sebagai “En” iaitu value “n” antara E0 – E7 dan nilai n adalah merujuk kadar berapa keleperan galaxy tersebut. Jadi, E0 galaxy adalah merujuk kepada galaxy yang berbentuk hampir bulat seperti bola (almost sphere ellipsoid shape)… antara E0 galaxy yang terkenal adalah Messier 87 dan Messier 89… (disclaimer: ada juga yang mengatakan bentuk galaxy yang dijumpai kelihatan berbentuk bulat dari bumi ini mungkin juga berbentuk elliptical lonjong dari padangan lain).

Sebelum ni asyik study bintang ajer, kali ni aku try observe kedudukan satellite… eg satellite Astro iaitu MEASAT… tak jauh dalam ketinggian 36,000 km ajer dari bumi…

Kedudukan MEASAT-3A

Cara utk tambah kedudukan satellite baru dalam program Stellarium ada ditulis pada wiki berikut [1]. Sebelum tu kena tahu yang kedudukan satellite measat adalah statik atau dikenali geostationary satellite [2] [3] dan list hampir kebanyakan geo satellite ni ada di website berikut [4].

sebenaranya, kedudukan Measat-3 dan Measat-3A ini adalah berdekatan sehinggakan astro disc sekarang walaupun pada arah position yang sama masih boleh dapat signal dari kedua-dua satellite ini [5]. lagi satu, just for info, bardasarkan apa yang CTO Astro kata, setellite measat-3A digunakan untuk astro HD channel [6]

Comet Hartley 2, officially designated 103P/Hartley, is a small periodic comet with an orbital period of 6.46 years.[1] It was discovered by Malcolm Hartley in 1986 at the Schmidt Telescope Unit in Siding Spring, Australia.[1] Its diameter is estimated to be 1.2[3] to 1.6 km.[1] It will be the subject of a flyby by the Deep Impact spacecraft on November 4, 2010, with a closest approach of 700 kilometers.[4] This is part of the EPOXI mission.

    2010 approach

The comet will pass within 0.12 AU of the Earth on October 20, 2010,[6] only eight days before coming to perihelion (closest approach to the Sun) on October 28, 2010.[1] During this passage, the comet may be visible to the naked eye at apparent magnitude 5,[7] in the constellation Auriga, near its open clusters, if an observer knows where to look and is viewing from a dark sky location. Binoculars should make it an easy target.

The comet passed near the position of NGC 281 in Cassiopeia on October 1. On the night of October 7 at New Moon, the comet is expected to pass near the Double Cluster in the sky and near the open cluster NGC 1528 by October 14, both in Perseus. By the end of the month the comet will be visible in the evening without interference from the Moon.[8]

Cuba tengok data berikut:

Kelajuan orbit planet Mercury: 47.87 km/s atau 172,332 km/h
Kelajuan orbit bumi: 29.78 km/s atau 107,200 km/h
Kelajuan putaran bumi di paksi: 1670 km/h
Kelajuan orbit planet Jupiter: 13.07 km/s atau 47 052 km/h

Sebenarnya kita (planet bumi) bergerak dalam orbit mengelilingi matahari dengan amat laju iaitu lebih 100 ribu km per jam (lebih 80 Mach atau 80 kali kelajuan bunyi) dan berputar pula ┬áselaju 1,670 km per jam. Untuk dapat gambaran berapa laju, cuba bandingkan dengan kereta F1 yang top speed baru 320km/h. Rekod pesawat hypersonic terlaju iaitu X-43 NASA (unmanned) pun baru capai 12,144 km/h atau or Mach 9.8 . Apa jadi kalau planet ni berenti tiba-tiba atau berlanggar dengan objek lain… heher… tengok apa jadi bila kereta formula1 kena langgarler.. tu baru sikit…
